When it was first unveiled, the BMW F80 M3 surprised the consumer public with its four-door layout. As a result of the German marque rebranding its lineup, the M3 was now only available as a sedan and the outgoing M3 coupe was to be called the M4. The launch of the new F80 M3 sedan, at that time, revealed a new interpretation of the high-performance sports car and carried over the coveted BMW M philosophy into the fifth generation of the model. The F80 M3 leaves the factory on low-weight 18-inch 513M forged wheels that are specially developed to make a significant contribution to the reduction in its unsprung mass. However, the standard 18-inch wheels won’t clear the optional M carbon-ceramic brakes, which require the optional 19-inch 437M wheels. While the optional wheels are a bit more attractive than the standard fittings, they still lack a bit if you really want your BMW to stand out.
